Arlene M. DAIGLE

EASTHAMPTON - Arlene M. (Daigle) Deschaine, 81, died at home Sunday June 26. She was born in Frenchville, Maine, December 16, 1923, the daughter of the late Willie and Alexenia Daigle. She attended school in Maine. She was a former twenty-seven year Holyoke resident and resided in Easthampton for the past fourteen years. She was retired from UMASS Amherst as a nutrition specialist. She was predeceased by her husband, Alphonse Deschaine in 1979. She is survived by six sons: Richard, Ronney, Larry, Leroy, Bryan, and James; and three daughters, Deabra, Darlene, and Sandra. She will be sadly missed by sixteen grandchildren; and fifteen great grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by two brothers and four sisters. The funeral procession will form Friday July 1st. between 8:45 and 9:15am at the Messier Funeral Home, 1944 Northampton St., (Route 5) Holyoke, followed by a Liturgy of Christian Burial at 10am at Immaculate Conception Church, 33 Adams St., Easthampton. Burial will be at the convenience of the family. Calling hours at the funeral home are Thursday from 6-8 pm.
