JEANERETTE - Services for Mrs. Richard Waterman Brown, the former Linda Derouen, 57, will be held at 2 p.m. Monday at David Funeral Home Chapel of Jeanerette with the Rev. Ed Degeyeter officiating. Entombment will follow in Beau Pre Mausoleum.Visiting hours will be held Monday from 10:30 a.m. to 2 p.m. with a rosary being recited at 11:30 a.m.A native of Jeanerette and resident of Lafayette, Mrs. Brown died at 10:30 a.m. Saturday, Jan. 15, 2005, at her mother-in-law's residence in Lafayette.Mrs. Brown was employed as a supervisor at Dauterive Hospital for 12 years. She was a Hallmark ornament collector and she loved her cat "Felix."She is survived by her husband, Richard Waterman Brown; one sister, Sherry Broussard, both of Lafayette; four nieces, Mona and Angelle Guyote, Dana Derouen and Tonya Veazey, all of Jeanerette; her cat Felix, and many great-nieces and nephews and godchildren.Mrs. Brown was preceded in death by her parents, Paul "Sweet" and Myrtle Lasseigne Derouen, and one sister, Susan Guyote.Pallbearers will be Chad Veazey, Dana Derouen, Micky Sandifer, Zackery Guyote, Phil Tyndall and Gerald Derise.David Funeral Home of Jeanerette is in charge of the arrangements.
