Ambroise J. DESMARAIS

Lincoln -- AMBROISE J. DESMARAIS, 87, of School Street, Albion, died Thursday at Miriam Hospital, Providence.He was the husband of Yvette (Daneault) Desmarais. They had been married for 64 years. A lifelong resident of Albion, he was the son of the late Alfred and Justine (Desgrands) Desmarais.Mr. Desmarais had worked for the former Collyer Insulated Wire Co. for 17 years before retiring. Previously, he was a weaver at the former Berkshire-Hathaway Mill in Albion.He was a communicant of St. Ambrose Church, Albion.Besides his wife, he leaves a son, Andre Desmarais of Albion; and several nieces and nephews. He was the father of the late Paul Desmarais, and brother of the late Aime Desmarais.The funeral will be held Tuesday at 10:30 a.m. from Bellows Falso Funeral Chapel, 160 River Rd., with a Mass of Christian Burial at noon in St. Ambrose Church, 191 School St., Albion. Burial will be in St. Ambrose Cemetery, Albion.
