Nancy L. DESPOT

Nancy L. Despot, of Duluth passed away Jan. 1, 2005 in Lake Haven Manor after a brief, but valiant battle with cancer at the age of 44. Nancy was born Sept. 6, 1960 in Duluth, Minn. to Herbert and Ursula (Tasky) Despot. She graduated from Morgan Park High School and completed 20 years of service with AT&T, most recently in Kansas City, Mo. She was a member of St. Elizabeth's Catholic Church. Nancy was preceded in death by her father, Herbert in June of 2004. She is survived by her mother, Ursula Despot of Duluth; two sisters, Claudia (Dave) Bredemus of Eagan, Minn. and Lori (Eugene) Collard of Duluth; her brother, Robert (Julie) Despot of Fort Ripley, Minn.; two nieces and four nephews. The family would like to give a heartfelt thanks to Nancy's care givers at SMDC and Lake Haven Manor. Even through her tough times, she shared her wonderful sense of humor with all. In respect of Nancy's wishes, a private memorial service was held. Services entrusted to the Cremation Society of Minnesota, 218-624-5200. Published in the Duluth News Tribune on 1/2/2005.
