Gloria A. DIONNE

ASHBURNHAM -- Gloria A. (Dionne) Cormier, 67, of 187 Sherbert Road, died Monday, Jan. 3, at home after suffering from breast cancer. She was born in Fitchburg on Aug. 7, 1937, the daughter of Frederick and Aldora (Rheault) Dionne. She grew up in Fitchburg and moved to Ashburnham 30 years ago.Mrs. Cormier had been employed as an assembler in a medical parts company in Marlborough and had recently retired. She made many wedding cakes over the years. She loved crocheting and going hunting with her husband. She was a devoted wife and mother and loved to be with her grandchildren.Mrs. Cormier leaves her husband of 49-1/2 years, Robert G. Cormier; one daughter, Mary Ann Gaudet, and her husband, John F. Gaudet, of Ashburnham; three sisters, Dolores Vilandry and her husband, Leonard Vilandry of Fitchburg, Shirley Mariotti and her husband, Harvey Mariotti of Westminster, and Pauline Beaulac of Fitchburg; five grandchildren, John R. Gaudet and his wife, Lauren Gaudet, Jackline Gaudet, Amanda Gaudet, Cindy Thibault and Susan Thibault. A daughter, Debra Ann R. Thibault, died in 2000. CORMIER -- On Jan. 3, Gloria A. (Dionne) Cormier, 67, of Ashburnham. Friends and relatives are invited to a celebration of her life Thursday, Jan. 6, at 4 p.m. at the American Legion Hall Post 429, 200 Daniels St., Fitchburg. A memorial Mass will be held Saturday, Jan. 8, at 10 a.m. in St. Denis Church, 85 Main St., Ashburnham. Contributions in her name may be made to the American Cancer Society, 30 Speen St., Framingham, MA 01701.
