Marie B. DIONNE

MEENAN, MARIE B., 77, of Mount Pleasant Avenue, died Monday, May 9, 2005 at Roger Williams Medical Center. She was the wife of the late Joseph Meenan. Born in Providence, she was the daughter of the late Ludger and Elizabeth (Adams) Dionne. Mrs. Meenan had lived most of her life in the Mount Pleasant section of Providence.She is survived by five daughters, Kathleen Spelman of Centerville, Mass., Susan Doyle of Smithfield, Jacqueline Geoghagan of East Greenwich, Michele Teto of Johnston, and Grace Pietruszka of Johnston; three sons, Joseph Meenan Jr. of Warwick, Patrick Meenan of Smithfield, and Mark Meenan of Johnston; one sister, M. Cecile Beaumier of Providence; two brothers, Rev. A.L. Dionne of Washington, DC and Robert Dionne of Greenville; grandchildren, a great-grandson, and several nieces and nephews. She was the sister of the late Leon and Rene Dionne.The funeral will be held Friday at 9 a.m. from the HOEY-ARPIN-WILLIAMS-KING Funeral Home, 168 Academy Avenue, Providence, with a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 a.m. in St. Augustine Church, Mount Pleasant Avenue, Providence. Burial will be in Rhode Island Veteran's Cemetery, Exeter.
