LOUDON - Ronald Heywood Dubuc Sr., 73, of Youngs Hill Road, died on Saturday, August 27, 2005 at Concord Hospital. He was born in Manchester, the son of Camille and Dorothy (Heywood) Dubuc. He was a graduate of Hopkinton High, class of 1949. Mr. Dubuc was a Navy veteran of the Korean War, serving his country aboard the USS Beltrami. Ron and wife, Marilyn, farmed in Loudon before he became a heavy equipment mechanic for Jordan Milton and N.H. Explosives. He then worked for Havenwood Heritage Heights in Concord for 15 years as a maintenance mechanic. He was active in 4-H and his hobby was his family, helping build three family houses, watching the grandkids, fixing the cars and lending a hand at his son's greenhouse. Ron leaves his loving and dedicated wife of 52 years, Marilyn; five children and their spouses, Deborah and Dennis Jakubowski, Ronald and Cynthia Dubuc Jr., Dorothy Dubuc, Robert Dubuc, and Russell and Dereth Dubuc. Known as "Papa", he leaves his five grandchildren, Dennis and his fiancée Kristi, Lindsey and her husband Daniel, Ryan, Forest and Holly, with fond memories and a special place in their hearts for their beloved grandfather. His love of his family, his grandchildren, the camp, the moon and the lake was total. His homespun philosophy was enduring; his sense of humor made us smile. We will miss him. Ron died surrounded by his family on a beautiful day, his last wish granted. A celebration of Ron's life will be held at the family home at Youngs Hill Road in Loudon, Wednesday, from 4 p.m. on. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Loudon Fire and Rescue Department, Cooper Street, Loudon, 03307.
