Genevieve M. ENGERMAN

WORCESTER— -Genevieve M. (Engerman) Legere, 78, of 18 Wrentham Road, died Thursday, November 3, in The Hermitage. Her husband, Albert E. Legere, died in 1995. She leaves a daughter, Claudia L. Sobosik of Worcester, two sisters, Modesta Vigneau of Vernon, VT and Annette Vigneau of Brattleboro, VT; three grandchildren; a great grandchild; five nephews and five nieces. A brother, Ferdinand Engerman predeceased her. She was born in Turners Falls, the daughter of Ferdinand and Lena (Gallant) Engerman, graduated from Turners Falls High School, and in 1949 the Franklin County School of Nursing, where she also worked in the maternity ward. Mrs. Legere worked at the Marion Hospital in Providence, RI, the former Schusler Nursing Home, and most recently she was a nursing supervisor at The Hermitage for 25 years. She was a member of Our Lady of the Angels Church. A memorial Mass will be held at 10:00 AM on Wednesday, November 9, in Our Lady of the Angels Church, 1222 Main Street. Burial will be private. Calling hours are SATURDAY, November 5 from 12:00 until 2:00 PM in CALLAHAN & FAY BROTHERS FUNERAL HOME, 61 Myrtle Street.
