Dorothy B. FERRIER

HOLYOKE - Dorothy B. Ferrier, 89, of Holyoke, formerly of Springfield, passed away on Wednesday in a local nursing home. Born in Holyoke, and a Springfield resident for many years, she was the daughter of the late Alfred and Blanche (Richards) Ferrier. Dorothy was a longtime housekeeper and a communicant of the former St. Aloysius Church, now St. Jude Church of Indian Orchard. She was a member of the secular Third Order of Franciscans of Springfield. Dorothy is survived by a nephew, Robert Ferrier of Westfield, and by a dear friend, Rita Chicklowski of Brimfield. The funeral will be Saturday morning from the Ratell Funeral Home, 200 Main St., Indian Orchard at 8 a.m., followed by the Liturgy of Christian Burial in St. Jude Church at 9 a.m. Burial will be in St. Aloysius Cemetery, Indian Orchard.
