Florence A. GAGNON

PEPPERELL -- Florence A. (Gagnon) Dow, 80, a Pepperell resident who was a parishioner many years at a Catholic church in town, died yesterday, Aug. 4, at Nashoba Valley Medical Center in Ayer after a brief illness. She was the wife of Leonard W. Dow, who died in 2002.She was born and educated in Fitchburg on Jan. 24, 1925, a daughter of the late Zenon and Agnes (Hunt) Gagnon. Mrs. Dow was a longtime member of St. Joseph Church in Pepperell.She enjoyed reading and was also remembered as a dedicated homemaker for her family.She is survived by 10 children and their spouses, Kenneth and Kathryn Dow of Townsend, Joyce and James Hochkins of Wayne, Mich., Paula and Larry Rickmann of Carson City, Nev., Rosemary and Walter Razzaboni of Pepperell, Larry and Maureen Dow of Ashby, Kevin Dow of Fitchburg, Gay Lynn Blood of Nashua, Maureen Hammond of Ayer, Roxanne and Robert Blase of Chicopee, and Wayne and Lisa Dow of Ashby; three brothers and two sisters-in-law, Roland Gagnon of Fitchburg, Joseph and Mary Gagnon of Townsend, and David and Germane Gagnon of Lunenburg; two sisters and brothers-in-law, Doris (Gagnon) and Robert Lane, and Yvette and Joseph Landry of Fitchburg. Mrs. Dow also leaves 25 grandchildren, and eight great-grandchildren.She was also the mother of the late Gerard Dow. Published in the Lowell Sun on 8/5/2005.
