Genereux, Grace M. 94, Grand Forks, ND, formerly of Minneapolis, MN, died Monday, December 26, 2005 in 4000 Valley Square, Woodside Village, Grand Forks, ND. Grace M. Genereux was born April 14, 1911 the daughter of Edward and Mary Ann (Le Blanc) Genereux in Terrebonne, MN. She attended grade school in Terrebonne and graduated from St. Joseph's Academy, Crookston, MN. After graduating she returned home to Terrebonne where she worked seven years for Dr. Sturmann in Erskine, MN. She moved to Minneapolis and attended the Minnesota Business College. She then worked for the Pillsbury Co. and later for George V. Stennes and Associates (Actuaries), Minneapolis. She returned to Grand Forks in 2000 to spend her final years close to family. When Grace moved to Minneapolis, most of her siblings and their families were farmers in Northwestern Minnesota. At every Christmas, her 40+ nephews and nieces looked forward to a big box of gifts from their big city Aunt. Her apartment was always available as a place to stay for family members seeking jobs, education, and other opportunities in the Twin Cities. In her retirement years, Grace volunteered extensively at her cherished St. Olaf's Catholic Church in downtown Minneapolis. Grace is survived by her brother, Samuel (Deloris), Thief River Falls, MN; many nieces, nephews, great nieces and nephews and great great nieces and nephews; sisters-in-law; Helen (Mrs. Joseph) Genereux, St. Paul, MN and Ann (Mrs. Arthur) Genereux, Maplewood, MN. She was preceded in death by her sisters, Victoria Gust and Sr. Lucy Ann, S.J.; brothers, Harmidas, Joseph, George and Arthur. Mass of Christian Burial 11:00 a.m. Saturday, December 31, 2005 in Sacred Heart Catholic Church, East Grand Forks, MN. Visitation: 9:30 to 11 a.m. Saturday only, prior to the liturgy at the church. Burial: St Anthony's Cemetery, Terrebonne, MN.
