Richard E. GIRARD

AUGUSTA -- On Saturday night, June 4, 2005, Richard E. Girard Sr., 71, died peacefully.He was born Aug. 10, 1934, to Peter and Ethelyn Girard. He was a lifetime resident of Augusta. He was predeceased by his father, Peter; his mother, Ethelyn; sisters Betty King and Shirley Marshall; and a son, Robert Girard.He is survived by brother Pete of Chelsea; his son, Richard E. Girard Jr.; daughter-in-law Michelle Girard of Augusta; and son Edward Girard of Florida.Richard worked 25 years at Togus Veterans Administration. He also worked 18 years at Pine State Beverage Co. and five years at Macomber, Farr & Whitten.Richard was loved by so many people. He would help anyone.Thanks and gratitude for all the people who loved and cared for him at MaineGeneral Rehabilitation and Nursing Care, Glenridge Drive.There will be no viewing or service at this time. He will be buried at Mount Hope Cemetery.
