Joseph Fernand GONSOULIN

DUNCAN, Okla. — Services for Joseph Fernand Gonsoulin Jr., 88, will be conducted at 10 a.m. Tuesday at Assumption Catholic Church with the Rev. Donald Wolf officiating. Interment will follow in Duncan Cemetery.Mr. Gonsoulin died Saturday, Nov. 5, 2005, in Duncan, Okla.Mr. Gonsoulin was born Feb. 12, 1917 at Bell Grove Plantation in Jeanerette to Joseph F. Gonsoulin Sr. and Mathilde Bienvenu Gonsoulin. He attended Sacred Heart School and Jeanerette Public School in Jeanerette. On Dec. 7, 1941, he married Violet S. McClanahan at Corpus Christi, Texas. To this union four children were born.He is survived by his wife, Vi of the home; four children and their spouses; a brother, Dr. Harold Gonsoulin of Jeanerette; a sister, Gloria Bishop of Jeanerette; numerous nieces and nephews of Jeanerette; 11 grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren.Don Grantham Funeral Home of Duncan, Okla., is in charge of the arrangements.
