LAFAYETTE - Funeral services will be held at a 1 p.m. Mass of Christian Burial Monday, April 25, 2005, in the Delhomme Chapel of the Flowers for Kenneth James Guidry, 62, who passed away Saturday, April 23, 2005, at Southwest Medical Center.Interment will take place at Calvary Mausoleum.The Rev. Floyd J. Calais will be celebrant of the Mass and conduct the funeral services.Mr. Guidry, the son of the late Luke Guidry and the former Hilda Walters Guidry, was a native of Lafayette. He was a former employee of KATC-TV 3 for 22 years and retired employee of Lafayette Parish Sheriff Office. Mr. Guidry was in the Naval Air Reserve from 1961-1964.Survivors include his wife, Sandra Cade Guidry, of Lafayette; one son, Brett Guidry and wife, Daphnie, of Lafayette, and their children, Ethan and Logan Guidry; one daughter, Kelli Guidry, of Lafayette and her daughter, Haili Guidry; four brothers, Luke B. Guidry Jr., of Marietta, Ga., Carrol Guidry, of Lafayette, V. J. Guidry, of Dickinson, Texas, and Mike Guidry, of Lafayette.He was preceded in death by his father, Luke Guidry; mother, Hilda Walters Guidry; one brother, Robert Earl Guidry; and sister-in-law, Judy Guidry Angelle.Visiting hours will be observed from 11 a.m. until 9 p.m. today and will continue from 9 a.m. Monday until time of services.A rosary will be prayed at 7 p.m. tonight.Pallbearers will be Luke B. Guidry, Carrol Guidry, V.J. Guidry, Mike Guidry, Keith Guidry, Todd Guidry, and Teal Guidry.Honorary pallbearers will be James Romero, Don Breaux, Neil Cade, Darrel Hebert and Ed Gates.Delhomme Funeral Home, 1011 Bertrand Drive, is in charge of all funeral arrangements.
