GRAND COTEAU -Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday, Sept. 20, 2005, at St. Charles Catholic Church in Grand Coteau, La. for James "Jamie" H. Guilbeau Jr., 50, who died at 1:25 a.m. Sunday, Sept. 18, 2005, at his residence in Sunset, La.Interment will be in Bellevue Memorial Park Cemetery in Opelousas, La.The Rev. Jim Lambert will officiate the services.Mr. Guilbeau served as Chairman of the Board and President of the Bank of Sunset & Trust Company. He was a graduate of U.S. L. (Master's Degree) in History. He enjoyed studying architectural history and astronomy. He was a member of the Sunset Area Sertoma Club and as a music enthusiast played the clarinet in the Lafayette Concert Band.He is survived by his mother, Thelma Cummings Guilbeau, of Sunset, La. He is also survived by his many cousins, friends and banking acquaintancesHe is preceded in death by his father, James Howard Guilbeau Sr.Visitation will be observed from 2 p.m. until 9 p.m. today and will continue from 8 a.m. Tuesday until time of services.A rosary will be prayed at 7 p.m. today.Honorary pallbearers will include the Banking Directors, Ken Floyd and Bill Richard.Arrangements have been entrusted to Sibille Funeral Home of Grand Coteau, 337-662-7110.
