Memorial services for Anna Grace Guilbeaux Trahan, 75, will be conducted at 1 p.m. Saturday at First Assembly of God Church with the Rev. Paul Neel officiating.Born on Jan. 23, 1930 and died Monday, Sept. 5, 2005, Mrs. Trahan was entrusted to the arms of her most perfect and loving heavenly father."Grace" was her middle name and her byword in life. I Corinthians 13: 4 - 8 describes this gracious love that she applied in her daily life, "Love is patient, love is kind. It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud. It is not rude, it is not self-seeking, it is not easily angered, it keeps no record of wrongs. Love does not delight in evil but rejoices with the truth. It always protects, always trusts, always hopes, always preseveres. Love never fails." Her hobby was loving those who really needed it! She did not limit this to her husband, children, grandchildren or great-grandchildren, this was the irresistible force of her life to everyone. Anna always believed the best of people no matter how often they fell or disappointed others, she would have an encouraging word for them. She gave freely with no thought for herself. Lesson from her life, "People are always more important than things." An amazing sense of loss will be felt by all who knew and loved her.She is survived by her daughter, Carol Ann Thomas and husband Richard; a son, Joseph Warren Trahan II and wife Tracy; a step-daughter, Donna Trahan Duhon and husband Nick; 11 grandchildren, Kimberly Raved, Andrea Dugan, Jennifer Thomas Dressel, Angela Thomas Bourque, Philip Harrison Thomas, Jacob, Austin and Josie Trahan, Justin and Travis Duhon and Dell Christopher Rice; seven great-grandchildren, Halen and Shawn Dugan, Heather and Joshua Raved, Beth Babineaux and Kinley Dressel; a great-great-grandchild, Charnay Dugan; two nephews, Ronald J. Champagne and wife Billie and Thomas Fierro; and grand niece and nephew, Connie and Chris Champagne.Mrs. Trahan was preceded in death by her second husband, Joseph Warren Trahan I; first husband, James Godby Guinn; parents, Aldorous and Noilee Chaisson LeBlanc; a sister, Lee Ramirez; youngest daughter, Patrice Ann Guinn; and a grandson, Anthony Angel Quiles.
