Birdie Marie Hebert Petersen, 98, a native of Bayou Black and resident of Houma, died at 4:38 a.m. Thursday, Sept. 22, 2005.Visitation will be from 9 a.m. to funeral time Friday at Chauvin Funeral Home. Liturgy of the Word will be at noon Friday at the funeral home chapel, with burial in St. Anthony Cemetery.She is survived by numerous nieces and nephews.She was preceded in death by her parents, Abel Hebert and Julia Bergeron Hebert; two brothers, Crimer Hebert and Abel Hebert; and three sisters, Margaret Stewart, Cecile Gustin and Madora Combe.She was a retired buyer with The Emporium and a parishioner of Holy Rosary Catholic Church.
