MAURICE - Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday, Nov. 22, 2005, at St. Joseph Catholic Church for Joseph "Bowie" Hebert, 63, who passed away Friday, Nov. 18, 2005, at his residence. The Rev. Arockiam Arockiam, SVD will be the celebrant of the Mass.Interment will be in St. Alphonse Cemetery.A resident of Lafayette, and a member of Knights of Peter Claver Council No. 70, he was retired from S.L.E.M.C.O. He is survived by his wife, Grace Hebert, of Lafayette; mother, Viola Senegal Hebert, of Lafayette; one brother, John Edward Hebert (Joyce), of Lafayette;three sisters, Vera Dotson, of Houston, Texas, Margaret Roy, of Lafayette and Diane Olivier (James), of Grand Marais, La.Also survived by a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his father, Vernest Hebert; brother, Valrie Hebert; maternal grandparents, Edward and Maydel Benoit Senegal; paternal grandparents, Fernest and Della Duhon Hebert; three brothers-in-law, Billy Roy, James Dotson and John E. St. Julien.Visitation will be observed Tuesday, Nov. 22, 2005, at St. Joseph Catholic Church from 7 a.m. until time of services.Syrie Funeral Home, Inc. is in charge of arrangements.
