DUSON - Funeral services will be held at 4 p.m. Saturday, May 28, 2005, at a Mass of Christian Burial in Evangeline Memorial Gardens Chapel in Carencro for Lorinez Mathieu, 89, the former Lorinez Hernandez, who passed away at 1:20 a.m. Friday, May 27, 2005, at Our Lady of Lourdes Regional Medical Center in Lafayette.Interment will be in Greenlawn Memorial Gardens in Lafayette.Musical selections will be provided by Valerie Andrus.Mrs. Mathieu was a native of Lafayette Parish and a resident of Duson for 54 years and a resident of Magnolia Estates for the past two years.Survivors include one son, Roy Matthieu and his wife, Linda, of Scott; two grandchildren, Mitchell M. Matthieu and his wife, Bridget, of Church Point, and Michael M. Matthieu and his wife, Brandy, of Duson; and two great-grandchildren, Dessiree Matthieu and Dustin Matthieu.She was preceded in death by her husband, Emick Mathieu; her parents, Louis Hernandez and the former, Elia Cormier; and one brother, Adam Hernandez.A rosary will be prayed at 2 p.m. today in the funeral home.The family requests that visiting hours be observed from 9 a.m. today until service time on today.Pallbearers will be Mark Babineaux, Donald Hernandez, Mitchell M.
