Anita Eva Mercier -- September 14, 1908 - March 17, 2005 -- Anita Eva. (Heroux) Mercier., 96, of Highland Avenue in Fall River formally of Mitchell Drive passed away Thursday March 17, 2005 at the Catholic Memorial Home in Fall River, She was the wife of the late Albert Mercier. She was born in Natick, RI on September 14, 1908 the daughter of the late Charles and Alma (Reney) Heroux. Mrs. Mercier spent her life raising her family and was a communicant at the former saint Jean the Baptist Church.Survivors are three daughters Lucille Boucher of Westport, MA Eileen Couture of Swansea, MA Doris Burda of Somerset, MA six sons George Mercier of Warwick, RI Norman Mercier of Lakeville, MA Albert Mercier of Swansea, MA Robert Mercier of Fall River, MA Richard Mercier of Tiverton, RI Kenneth Mercier of Little Compton, RI a sister Alma Cabral of Fall River, MA two brothers Normand Heroux of Swansea, MA and Arthur Heroux of California eighteen grandchildren thirty great grandchildren and six great great grand children and many nieces and nephews. She was the sister to the late Elsie Goff, Hector, Raymond, Charles, William, Alfred, andRoy HerouxFuneral InformationMrs. Mercier's funeral will be held on Saturday at 9am from the Hebert-Hathaway Funeral Home, 945 S. Main St., Fall River, MA followed by a Mass of Christian burial at 10am in Saint Anne’s Church South Main St., Fall River. Relatives and friends are invited to attend, burial to follow in Notre Dame Cemetery Fall River. Calling hours are Friday from 5-8pm .
