Dorothy E. KLOSS

Dorothy E. (Kloss) Dulac, 80, of Plainville, wife of Joseph Dulac, passed away on Thursday, (December 8, 2005). She was born in New Britain on July 28, 1925, the only daughter to the late Edward and Rose (Niedzwiecki) Kloss. A resident of Plainville for over 70 years, Dorothy married her childhood sweetheart, Joseph in 1945, outlasting all couples in their graduating class. They continued to this day, to live on the same street where they grew up and met when they were 10 years old. She was a member of Our Lady of Mercy Church, and retired from Marlin-Rockwell after 20 years of employment. Dorothy's love for butterflies is displayed throughout her home, and she was a thrifty woman, who was always eager to clip coupons and find a good bargain. She enjoyed cooking, especially for the holidays and on the annual family trips to Maine. A selfless wife, mother, and grandmother, her greatest joy was raising her family and caring for others, including all of the pets she adopted over the years. Besides her husband of 60 years, Joseph, she leaves her children, Sharon Zadnik and her husband, John of Bristol, David Dulac and his wife, Barbara of Scarborough, ME, and Brion Dulac of Easthampton, MA; as well as three grandsons, Christopher Zadnik of AZ, Michael Zadnik of MD, and Todd Zadnik of Bristol; and several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held on Tuesday at 9 a.m. from Bailey Funeral Home, 48 Broad St., Plainville, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 a.m. at Our Lady of Mercy Church. Burial will be in St. Joseph Cemetery. Calling hours will be on Monday, from 6-8 p.m. at the funeral home.
