Bertha LABOMBARD

WATERVLIET - Bertha LaBombard Knauf, 94, of Fifth Avenue, died Wednesday, July 6, 2005, at Evergreen Commons in East Greenbush. Born in Isle Lamotte, VT, she was the daughter of the late Henry and Philomena Joli LaBombard. Mrs. Knauf moved to the Capital District at the age of 16 and has been a resident of Watervliet for over 60 years. She was a communicant of St. Brigid's Church in Watervliet. She was the widow of the late Harry V. Knauf, who died in 1959, beloved mother of Louella M. Knauf and Marilyn C. Bonesteel, both of Watervliet, and the late Doris J. Wells and Barbara Knauf, mother-in-law of Morton Wells of Melrose and the late Harold Bonesteel, loving grandmother of Ann Valigorsky of Melrose, Harold Bonesteel Jr., Debra (Ray) Strohmaier, Christine (Wayne) Haupt and William (Rachel) Bonesteel, all of Watervliet, and the late Morton Wells, great-grandmother of Kevin Wells, Francis Valigorsky Jr., Wayne Haupt Jr., Brittany Haupt, Michael Bonesteel and Juliet Bonesteel. Bertha was predeceased by 13 brothers and sisters. The funeral will be Monday at 8:30 a.m. from the Parker Bros. Memorial, 2013 Broadway, Watervliet, and at 9 a.m. at St. Brigid's Church, Watervliet, where a Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated. Interment in St. Agnes Cemetery, Menands. Relatives and friends are invited and may call at the funeral home on Sunday from 3-6 p.m.
