Janine C. LAJEUNESSE

NEW BEDFORD -- Janine C. (Lajeunesse) Brun, 61, of New Bedford died Wednesday, May 25, 2005, in St. Luke's Hospital after a long illness. Born in Acushnet on April 13, 1944, the daughter of the late Albert and Phyllis (Warburton) Lajeunesse, she grew up in Fairhaven and lived most of her life in New Bedford. Ms. Brun enjoyed going for drives in the country and animals. Survivors include a son, Shane Brun of New Bedford; two daughters, Lori A. Ormsby of Dartmouth and Shanna Brun of New Bedford; a sister, Elaine Bruno of Fairhaven; a granddaughter; two nieces; and a great-niece. She was the mother of the late Shaun Brun and the late Lisa (DeBarros) Ortega. She was the sister of the late Robert Lajeunesse and aunt of the late Danielle Bruno-Templeton. A memorial service will be held in St. Lawrence Martyr Church at 9 a.m. Saturday. Burial is private. Arrangements are by the Fairhaven Funeral Home, 117 Main St., Fairhaven.
