Loretta A. LAPRADE

FITCHBURG -- Loretta A. (LaPrade) McKercher, 79, formerly of 100 Clearview St., died Sunday, Oct. 9, at the Life Care Center of Leominster. She was born in Leominster on June 5, 1926, the daughter of Eugene and Annette (LaRochelle) LaPrade and had resided in Fitchburg for over 40 years. For over 20 years, Mrs. McKercher worked as an office staff member for Dr. Eugene LaLancette and Dr. Bergman, both of Fitchburg. She was a communicant of St. Joseph’s Church. Mrs. McKercher is survived by a son, Daniel J. McKercher of California; two brothers and sister-in-laws, Paul E. and Catherine LaPrade of Fitchburg and Robert J. and Theresia LaPrade of Leominster; two grandchildren, Maj. Derrick McKercher stationed with the U.S. Air Force in Washington, D.C. and Danielle Ares of Royalston; and two great-grandchildren, Joshua McKercher and Sydney Ares. She was the wife of Daniel J. A funeral Mass will be celebrated Friday, Oct. 14, at 10:30 a.m. at St. Joseph’s Church, 49 Woodland St., Fitchburg. Burial will be in the parish cemetery. A visitation period will be held Friday, Oct. 14, from 9 to 10 a.m. at the Louis M. Isabelle Funeral Home, 316 Clarendon St., Fitchburg.
