Edwin L. LAPRISE

LaPRISE, EDWIN L. 'NED', 63, of Boston Neck Rd., North Kingstown, died Sunday unexpectedly at South County Hospital after being stricken while snow plowing. He was the husband of Nancy L. (Golding) LaPrise, they had been married for 42 years. Born in Providence, he was a son of the late Albert J. and Marion (Leary) LaPrise. Mr. LaPrise was a Highway Superintendent for the State of Rhode Island, Dept. of Transportation, for 28 years retiring in 1989. He had been a Truck Driver and Equipment Operator for William Anthony Excavating for the past 3 years.Besides his wife, he is survived by 2 sons, Edwin K. 'Scooter' LaPrise of Exeter and David E. LaPrise of Narragansett; a daughter, LeeAnn L. Bonneau of Coventry; a brother, Albert LaPrise of East Greenwich. Cherished son-in-law of Pauline I. Golding. Beloved grandfather of Elizabeth, Matthew, Alexandra, Caroline, Charlotte and Margaret LaPrise and Katherine Bonneau; and godfather of Jacob and Max Bromberg.His Funeral Service will be held Thursday at 11:00 a.m. in the First Baptist Church of East Greenwich, Peirce St., East Greenwich. Burial will follow in Chestnut Hill Cemetery, Exeter. Relatives and friends are invited and may call Wednesday 6-8 p.m. in THE CRANSTON-MURPHY FUNERAL HOME of WICKFORD, 140 West Main St., Wickford Village, North Kingstown.
