Lena E. LAROCHE

Lena E. (LaRoche) Zdun, 87, formerly of Windsor Locks, wife of the late Joseph Zdun, died peacefully on Friday (March 18, 2005) at Johnson Memorial Hospital. Born on April 16, 1917 in Windsor Locks, she was the daughter of the late Alphonse and Eugenia Jane "Curly" LaRoche. Lena worked as a dressmaker in both CT and CA. She leaves a daughter Theresa Boyle and her husband Michael of North Hatfield, MA; a brother Alfred W. LaRoche of Indio, CA; a sister Jane DuBois Scott of Suffield; and two grandchildren, Judith Pierce and her husband David of Sunderland, MA, and Maureen Ryan and her husband John of Longmeadow, MA; and four great-grandchildren: Abigail, Ethan, Liam and Maeve. She was predeceased by brothers Louis and Oliver LaRoche and sisters Isabelle (LaRoche) Kierukstys Duncan and Blanche LaRoche. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Wednesday 10 a.m. at St. Joseph Church, 1747 Poquonock Ave., Windsor. Burial will be private at the request of her family.
