Anthony J. (Tony) Laurent, 57, died unexpectedly at home Sunday, Dec. 11, 2005. He was born June 15, 1948, in Rio Creek, WI, to the late Walter and Lucille (LeGreve) Laurent. He graduated from the Casco High School. He worked at PBI in Sturgeon Bay for 25 years. He then followed his heart and started his own carpentry business. He married Mary Jo Blahnik, Feb. 10, 1968, and they made their home in Algoma. They were blessed with three children. Mary Jo preceded Tony in death on Feb. 17, 2002. Tony then married Ena Gerelkhuu Jan 3, 2005. Tony was a very proud grandfather and whenever he was with them there was a special sparkle in his eye and a smile on his face. Family was important to him and he enjoyed the time spent with family and friends. Whenever family needed help they could count on him to always be there. He is survived by his wife Ena and her son Zamilan, and will be sadly missed by his three children, Trish Laurent-Behnke, Casco, WI; Shane (Sherry) Laurent, Amarillo, TX; and Natasha (Patrick) Casey, Green Bay, WI; six grandchildren; Mitchell and Brock Behnke, Austin, Noah and Corrine Laurent and Caleb Casey; mother-in-law Lois Blahnik, New Franken; three sisters Laverne Capelle, Green Bay, WI; Carol (Joseph) Strnad, Casco, WI; Gloria Laurent and special friend Jim Vandertie, Algoma, WI; two brothers, Gabriel Laurent and Dennis Laurent both of Casco, WI; brothers and sisters-in-law Sandra Blahnik, New Franken; Rose Marie Laurent, Luxemburg, WI; Joseph (Judy) Wiese, Algoma; Adrian (Kay) Schmidt, Maplewood, WI; Randy (Toni) Massart, Forestville, WI; Tom Blahnik, Algoma, WI; Joseph (DeDe) Blahnik, Algoma; Becky (Richard) Zajac, Green Bay, WI; Unenbat Yunren and Batkhishig Yunren, and his best companion, Murphy. He was further preceded in death by his father-in-law, Anthony Blahnik; one brother, Walter; two sisters Lucille Laurent and Jeanne Wiese; three nieces, Linda and Jenny Strnad and Lisa Capelle; and one sister-in-law Diane Laurent. Friends may gather at Calvary Assembly of God Church, 916 Feld St., Algoma, from 2 p.m. Friday Dec. 16, 2005, until time of services at 7 p.m. with Rev. Kenneth Taylor officiating.
