Huey P. LAVERGNE

LAVERGNE, HUEY P. A resident of Baton Rouge, he died Sunday, Jan. 30, 2005, at his home. He was 71 and a native of St. Francisville. Visiting at St. Joseph Baptist Church, 2510 Tennessee St., from 11 a.m. Friday, Feb. 4, until religious service at 1 p.m., conducted by the Rev. Donald Grim. Interment in Gilbert Memorial Park. He is survived by his wife, Ola Mae Lavergne, Baton Rouge; four sons, Tony Lavergne, Chicago, Leon Lavergne, Randy Lavergne and Gregory Lavergne, all of Baton Rouge; four sisters, Lucille and husband Willie Carter, Delorise Williams and Alma Lee and husband James Green, all of San Diego, and Mable Lee Lavergne, Los Angeles; two brothers, Louis H. and wife Dorothy T. Lavergne, Baton Rouge, and Lawrence Lavergne, Tulsa, Okla.; nine grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren. Preceded in death by his parents; daughter, Doreen Honore; son, Huey Lee Lavergne; and four brothers. Miller & Daughter Mortuary, Zachary, is in charge of arrangements.
