Irene A. La Plant, 94, Green Bay, died peacefully on Dec. 20, 2005, at a local nursing home. Born on Jan. 12, 1911, she is the daughter of the late Henry and Ella (Schultz) Reimer. On June 21, 1930, she married Francis La Plant at SS. Peter & Paul Church, and he preceded her in death on Aug. 18, 1981. Irene is survived by three children, Rita (Gene) Knox, Green Bay; Bob (Lois) La Plant, Verona; Jack (Joan) La Plant, Green Bay; 10 grandchildren; four stepgrandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren; seven stepgreat-grandchildren; many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband Francis; two brothers, Fred and Jack Reimer; one granddaughter, Mary Roberts; one son-in-law, Austin Roberts. Visitation at MALCORE Funeral Home, University Avenue at Baird Street, Thursday (today) from 4 to 8 p.m. Parish wake service at 7 p.m. Thursday. Visitation will continue Friday at St. Bernard Church, 2040 Hillside Lane, from 9 a.m. until the time of the funeral. Funeral 10:30 a.m. Friday at St. Bernard Church with Rev. David Pleier officiating. Burial at Holy Cross Cemetery.
