Alice Constance BIRD

BIRD, Alice Constance - Peacefully on Sunday February 8th, 2009 at the Greater Niagara General Hospital after a courageous battle with lung cancer. Wife of the late James Bird (1992). Dear mother of Sandra (Sandy) Bird. Sister-in-law of Dorothy Benson. Sister of the late Douglas (1973). Also surviving are nieces and nephew in Canada and cousins in Canada the US and the UK. Special Mom to Laura and Tom Olsen and friend of Paul McCarter. Special thanks to Pam Pauls CCAC and Geneva and Tanya for their excellent care. Thanks to dear friends Netta Mathieson and Sally Weiss for all their help and guidance. Mom was an avid Blue Jays fan. Cremation has taken place followed by a private family burial service. There will be a memorial service to be held at Holy Trinity Anglican Church (Chippawa) on Saturday February 14th, 2009 at 11 o'clock. Friends are invited to meet with the family at a reception to follow the service. In lieu of flowers, donations to the Holy Trinity Accessibility Fund would be appreciated.
