Annie SMITH

WALTERS, Annie Annie Walters passed away peacefully on February 2, 2009 at the Rockyview Hospital. She was 92. She was predeceased by her husband, Jack Burley Walters in 1990, by her sister Stella Barkley, and her brothers Edward and Michael Smith. She is survived by her sons Roy (Gladys), Carl (Dorothy), Michael and Melvin; nine grandchildren, Nicholas (Margaret) Walters, Barry (Libby) Walters, Jeremy (Izabella) Walters, Jessica (Douglas) Watson and Ryan Walters; and four great-grandchildren, Hannah, Daniel and Benjamin Watson and Katherine Walters. Annie was born and raised in Calgary, where she met and married Jack. They raised her siblings while starting a family of their own. Annie enjoyed art, calligraphy, gardening and traveling. Before retiring, she spent several years at the University of Calgary preparing and printing brochures, leaflets and posters. Annie spent her last two years at the Beverly Glenmore Care Centre, and our sincerest thanks to the staff for their kind, loving and thoughtful relationship with her.
