JEFFERSON, Peggy Eleanor Francis Page September 18, 1923 - February 13, 2009 I am free. You will find me where the treetops sway, and the seagulls play and the heavens meet the sea. It is with great sadness that our family announces the passing of our beloved wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. Peggy died at home with family by her side. Remembering her with love are her life-partner and husband of 65 years, John; children: John Andrew, Janet, Michael, Malcolm, Richard, Holly and Stuart, their families, relatives and her many friends. She had a great spirit and an even greater heart; always ready with her boundless love to give support and wisdom to any who asked but especially to her children and grandchildren. Family was paramount. Peggy also believed in helping the less fortunate and did so without hesitation. She loved all animals; dogs gave her the greatest joy; she has owned and cared for many through her life. Another of her passions was quilting; all of us who own one of her beautiful creations cherish it dearly. She had a wonderful sense of humour and couldn't wait to share stories, a naughty joke or opinions on the current political scene (or any worthy topic for that matter). We will miss her lovely voice, her wit, that smile and her sparkling eyes. She was a treasure in every way; she taught us what truly matters in life. Our gratitude goes out to all those who helped Peggy through her last months. Thank you. A Celebration of Life gathering will be announced at a later date.
