MYMKA, Hertha (Helen) - Peacefully, surrounded by her family at Twin Lakes Terrace, Sarnia on Wednesday, February 4, 2009, Hertha Helen Mymka, age 82 of Sarnia. Helen was a cook at John's Restaurant for many years, a member of St. Benedict's Roman Catholic Church and formerly owned and operated the Diamond Taxi Company in Sudbury, ON. Beloved wife of the late Nikolaj (Nik) Mymka (2006). Loving mother of Anna Chester of Sarnia, Nadia Krane of Orillia and Nicholas Mymka and Mary Ellen Brohman of Petrolia. Dear grandmother of Carole Ann Smith (Dwayne), Valerie Wafer (Mark), Christine Downer (Chris), Dana Merrington (Brett), Dawn Murray (Keith) and Tara Smith (Trevor). Great-grandmother of Jessica and Alex Smith, Meghan and Coleen Wafer, Logan and Cameron Downer, Teah and Tanner Merrington, Elliot Murray and Trinity Smith. Also survived by brother Gerard Golda of France and sister Troutel Meissner of Germany. Predeceased by her daughter Karen Antonation (1991). A private family memorial service has taken place.
