MOREAU, Emily (nee Robinson) - The family announces with sorrow, her passing at 78 years at the Montfort Hospital, Ottawa, on Friday, February 13, 2009. A longtime resident of Sudbury, she was a dedicated mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and friend to many. She made friends easily, as talking to anyone was one of her greatest gifts. Loving mother and best friend of Marilyn Fox of Sudbury (Paula, Lyndsay, Patrick, Free), Verlyn Robinson-Edgar, husband Harvey of Batchewana Bay (Kimberley, Taryn, Brent, Chad), Sherry of Ottawa (Christopher, Kelly), Rachelle Philippe, husband Gerry of Moncton, NB (Kirha Jane, Lauren, Daina) and Raymond, wife Tammy Lister of Manitowaning (Jacob, Noah). Affectionately known as “GG” to 19 great-grandchildren. Survived by sisters Rita Ruttan, Mary Swanson, Theresa Higo, brother Ivan Higo and their families. Predeceased by her parents, Paul and Grace Higo, brothers Martin, Lloyd, Abraham, great-grandson Tyrell and Raymond Moreau Sr. Also survived by a large extended family of nieces, nephews, cousins and in-laws. She will be remembered for her strong faith, community involvement with the Catholic Women's League, Daughters of Isabella and N'Swakamok Native Friendship Centre, dedication as a HABS and Sudbury Wolves Fan and love of country music. The family will receive relatives and friends at the CO- OPERATIVE FUNERAL HOME, Lasalle Blvd., (at Notre-Dame) Sudbury, Tuesday from 2-5 pm and 7-9:30 p.m. and Wednesday morning after 8:30 a.m. Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated, Wednesday, February 18, 2009 at 10 a.m., Our Lady of Hope Church, 591 Brennan Rd., Sudbury.
