Phyllis Irene TUFFORD

TUFFORD, Phyllis Irene (87) - Passed away peacefully at St. Catharines General Hospital on February 11, 2009 after a battle with Alzheimer's. Born September 28, 1921 in Maple Valley, Ontario Phyllis moved to St. Catharines in 1949 to pursue a teaching career. She is survived by her husband of 56 years, Harold, sons Gary (Cindy) and Paul (Lissa), grandchildren Christopher, Michelle (Jeff), Kyle and Kathryn, special friends Sandra and Ian MacMillan and grandpets Abby, Winston, Brandy and Brefney. A memorial service to honour Phyllis will be held on Saturday, February 21, 2009 from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. in the meeting hall of the Mainstream Building at 263 Pelham Road, St. Catharines, Ontario. The family would like to thank all the staff on the 3rd floor Mills wing of the St. Catharines General Hospital for the utmost in compassion and nursing care. You people made Phyllis' final days as comfortable as possible.
