Edith Alice TARLING

TARLING, Edith Alice - of MacTier passed away peacefully into the presence of her Lord on Sunday February 15, 2009 in her 72nd year, after a short but valiant battle with pancreatic cancer. She leaves behind her loving husband Peter, dear son Derek and his wife Terry, grandsons Nathan and Trent of Sylvan Lake, Alberta; cherished daughter Denise and her husband Jeff of Meaford and grandchildren Spencer, Summer and Aleah. Also numerous family members including brothers Gordon, Willard, Philip and Alvin and their families which include her many nephews and nieces; as well as her cousins and many dear friends close to home and around the world. Edith lived life to the fullest, living by the motto 'only one life will soon be past, only what's done for Christ will last'. The family wishes to express grateful appreciation to the staff of the West Parry Sound Health Centre for their exceptional care and professionalism. Friends will be received at New Life Fellowship in MacTier on Wednesday February 18, 2009 from 2 -4 & 7-9 PM. The Funeral Service will be held at the MacTier United Church on Thursday, February 19, 2009 at 2 PM with a luncheon to follow at the MacTier Legion. Cremation to follow.
