WISEMAN, Peter Frank - It is with profound sadness and a great sense of loss that we announce the sudden passing of our cherished husband, father and grandfather. As we come to terms with our loss we draw strength from our memories of his quiet sense of humour, his genuine warmth, his intense pride and joy in his family and the pleasures he took in a simple life that he lived to the fullest. He will be deeply missed by his beloved wife Joan, his children Michael (Leslie), Robert (Virginia), David (Christiane) and Jo-Anne (Harry) and his nine (soon to be ten) grandchildren. A native of Barrie he began his teaching career in a one room school house in Oro Township. He devoted himself to learning and after many years of public service in the Ontario Ministry of Education he turned his generous spirit to his community; volunteering with the Simcoe County Historical Society, Barrie Public Library and the Canadian Red Cross. At Dad's request there will be no visitation or funeral. Cremation will take place and a private family service will be held at a later date. As an expression of sympathy, a donation may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society through MARSHALL W. DRIVER CREMATION & BURIAL SERVICE, 19 Ross St., Barrie L4N 1E8. 705-734-7616. Email condolences may be sent to mwdcandbservice@sympatico.ca. “Miss me a little – but not too long And not with your head bowed low Remember the love that we once shared Miss me – but let me go“ 11417032
