Blair William VYE

Mr. Blair William Vye, husband of the late Shirley Vye of 4770 Route 11 Tabusintac NB, passed away Wednesday January 21, 2009 at Miramichi Regional Hospital, at the age of 86. Born in Miramichi NB, he was the son of the late Leslie and Josephine (Bradford) Vye. He was retired from the Dept of Highways. He was a member of St Andrew's United Church, former elder and manager, former choir member. He was a member of Royal Canadian Legion Branch # 47. He was a veteran of WW11 Overseas. He is survived by three daughters; Peggy Arsenault (Adrien St Jean) of Curve Lake Ontario; Diane Strang (Arthur) of Tabusintac; Judy Fowler of Tabusintac; four sons; James Harris (Marianne) of Miramichi; Edward Robertson (Bernadette) of Tabusintac; William (Margaret) of Tabusintac; Blair Jr. (April) of Tabusitnac; three sisters; Dorothy Breau of Toronto; Pearl Clark of Miramichi; Florence Fawcette of St Catherine's Ontario; half sisters; Venica, Annebelle, Beula and Norma. 13 grandchildren; 14 great grandchildren. Besides his parents and his wife Shirley (1995) he was predeceased by two sisters; Aida and Lona; one brother; Arthur. Mr. Blair William Vye rested at St Andrew's United Church, Tabusitnac, with visitation on Saturday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9. The Funeral Service was held Sunday January 25, 2009 at 2 p.m. from St Andrew's United Church, Tabusitnac, with Rev. J.D. Kennedy officiating. Organist was Robyn McCallum . Pianist was Debbie Robichaud. Guitarist was Mark Palmer. Congregational Hymns were "How Great Thou Art" and "Amazing Grace". Soloist Arthur Strang rendered "Keep me Safe' till the Storm Passes By". Readings were by William Vye and Kelly Vye. Burial will be in Riverside Cemetery in the spring. At the request of the family donations to Tabusintac Community Center, St Andrew's United Church or a memorial of ones choice would be appreciated. Active Pallbearers were Stewart Robertson, Stephen Robertson, Derrick Strang, Tyler Strand, Junior Carver and Ronald Bradford. Honorary Pallbearers were David MacWilliams, Marjorie Wishart, Alfred Blake, Marvin Harding, Leonard MacCallum, Alphonse Breau and Malcolm Betts.
