Jack Raymond BURKLEY

BURKLEY, Jack Raymond, It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Jack on May 10, 2004. After a brief illness, he died at the age of 62. Left behind by his loving wife, best friend and "me darling" of 42 years, Nancy (Gilbert). Jack wa s an incredible and loving father to daughter Darlene (Peach), son Larry and his wife Carrie, daughter Jackie and her husband Mike Simoneau. Jack was an adoring Papa to Lauren, Landen, Megan and Taylor. Also sadly missed by brothers James and Larry ( Jenny) and his sisters Ella (Gilles), Cathy (Doug), Alice and Annie (Paul) and his sister-in-law Carol; as well as his mother-in-law Helen Gilbert, sisters-in-law June, Barbara, LuAnn (Armand) and brother-in-law Ron. He will also be greatly missed by his numerous nieces, nephews, friends and co-workers. He was predeceased by his parents Lawrence and Grace Burkley and father-in-law Bruce Gilbert. For the last seven years Jack has been enjoying his retirement from General Motors. He has been spend ing his summers at Crotch Lake determined to catch that big one over the slot. From the bottom of our hearts we thank you for all the love, laughter and precious memories. You will forever be in our hearts. All those who knew and loved Jack are invit ed to visit with his family from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Wednesday, May 12, 2004, at the JAMES L. PEDLAR FUNERAL HOME - DIXON CHAPEL, 1292 Pelham Street, Fonthill, where the funeral service will be conducted in the Chapel on Thursday, May 12, 2004 at 11:00 a.m., with Pastor Gord Gilmore of the Brethren In Christ Church, Welland officiating.
