Ruth Florence OLDERSHAW

MURPHY, Ruth Florence (nee Oldershaw) - (1919-2009) - Ruth Murphy, daughter of the late Gordon and Florence (nee Dunlop) Oldershaw, died at the age of 89 in Ottawa, Ontario on 27 Feb 2009. She is predeceased by her sister, Mrs. Jean Brackin (husband Bob) of Westport, Connecticut and brother Malcolm of Oakville, Ontario. Ruth lived a full life with many friends (especially the 'Pepper Gang'), her work with the office of Dr. Baggs, volunteer work with the Park Street United Church and Meals-on-Wheels in her hometown of Chatham, Ontario. Her beautiful smile, generosity and love will be missed by her many friends, her daughter, Patricia (Richmond, British Columbia), son, Christopher (wife, Linda) and granddaughter, Erin (Ottawa, Ontario). Ruth asked to be cremated with a private service later this summer in Chatham. If friends desire, donations to the Alzheimer's Society would be appreciated.
