LEBLANC, Roméo - (1912-2009) - The family announces with sorrow his death in Sturgeon Falls, Wednesday February 25th 2009, at the age of 96 years. Son of the late Elida Leblanc and of Alphonsine Leblanc (née Gagné). Loving husband of Florence Leblanc (née Doucette) of Sturgeon Falls. Dear father of Jean-Guy (Gaye) of Kitchener, Charles (Mila) of Sturgeon Falls, and Monique Anishnabie (Henry) of Jocko Point. Predeceased by his infant children Marie, Charles and sons Robert and Marcel. Sadly missed and lovingly remembered by his grandchildren Robert (Robbie), Sue- Lynn, Gisèle, Alan and Michelle, as well as his great grandchildren Roger, Emily, Harrison, and Hailey. Survived by his sisters Rev. Sister Colette Leblanc f.d.l.s of Montréal and Jeannine Proulx (Dr. Maurice) of Montréal. Also predeceased by his brothers Fernand (Léona), Rodolphe (Rita) and Conrad (Laurette “Bunny” of Sturgeon Falls), as well as his sisters Blanche Brun (Louis), Dianne Bidal (Adrien) and Rhea Filion (Philipe). A memorial service for Roméo will be held at a later date. The family wishes to thank the staff of Au Chateau and Dr. Larocque, as well as the personnel of the West Nipissing General Hospital, Dr. Morrison and Dr. Katsuno, and Dr. T. Shulman for all their dedication and excellent care given to our father. Donations to the Heart & Stroke Foundation or the Kidney Foundation would be appreciated (cheques only).
