Margaret PATTERSON

SKELTON, Margaret (nee Robbie, Patterson) - It is with deep regret that we announce the death of Margaret Helen Skelton on Saturday February 2, 2009 at the Brantford General Hospital, at the age of 74. Margaret is the devoted wife of R. Howard Skelton and was formerly married to James A. “Al” Robbie (Jan. 1976). An ever loving mother to James M. P. Robbie and Craig Robbie. Margaret has six grandchildren, Jennifer Todd, James Robbie Jr., Christopher Robbie, Krista Lawrence, Kayla Robbie, and Sheena Robbie, all of whom she adored without exception. Survived by five brothers, Charlie (Elizabeth), Iain (2008), Sinclair (Gail), Jim (Janet), in Scotland GB, and Kerr. Also survived by a brother-in-law Raymond Skelton, and a sister-in-law Florence Skelton. Predeceased by a sister Isobel (1942) and brother Grant (1938). Margaret leaves her very best friend Barbara Markle (Keith) whom she knew for a lifetime and who became her sister from the heart. Many nieces and nephews all of whom she loved deeply. Margaret was the daughter of the late Charles and Jean (nee Miller) Patterson and niece of aunts Shirley (Gordon) Blake, Cathy (Bob) McKen, Isabelle (2008), Maggie (Bill) Warden, and numerous cousins. She is also survived by step-children Patricia (Brian), Rick (Jo- Anne) step-grandchildren Amanda (Dan), Ryan, Megan (Jason), and four step-great grandchildren Rayden, Kellum, Kayden, and Cassandra. Margaret worked in the private sector for many years and then with the Federal Government for 20 years. Family and friends will be received at McCLEISTER FUNERAL HOME, 495 Park Rd. N on Saturday, February 28th from 12:00 to 1:00 p.m. A Memorial Service will be held in the chapel at 1:00 p.m. Cremation has taken place, with scattering at Farringdon Burial Ground at a later date.
