Philipp STRECKER

STRECKER, Philipp March 18, 1925 - February 12, 2009 It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Philipp Strecker on February 12, 2009 at Christine Morrison Hospice, Mission, BC, at the age of 83 years. Philipp was born in Beschania, Yugoslavia, to Elisabeth and Philipp Strecker as the oldest of five children. Philipp will be held in loving memory by his wife Elizabeth, son Karl (Karin), grandchildren Kevin (Melissa), Robert (Heather), Jennifer (Domenico), great-grandchildren Emily and Claire, brothers Jake (Irma), Sam (Benita), sister Margaret (Emil) and many nephews and nieces. He was predeceased by his wife Maria, his parents Philipp and Elisabeth, and one brother, Karl. As a family, we mourn Philipp's absence, but we rejoice over his presence with the Lord Jesus Christ and look forward to the day when we will be reunited again. A Graveside Service will be held at Queen's Park Cemetery, 3219 - 4 Street N.W., Calgary on Friday, February 20 at 2:00 p.m. A Memorial Service will be held at Thornhill Baptist Church, 128 Tache Avenue N.W., Calgary at 3:30 p.m. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Canadian Cancer Society.
