Antonio Calarco April 5, 1919 - February 26, 2009 CALARCO, Antonio Apr 5, 1919 - Feb 26, 2009 Died peacefully at Windsor Regional Hospital, Western Campus surrounded by his loving family. Loving husband of Concetta (nee Geraci). Adored father to Maria (Gerry) Labelle, Gioia (Dragomir S.) Jovanovic, Guy and Vince. Loving grandfather to Margaret (Cameron) Karpenko, Steven (Anna) Labelle, Jenny and James Jovanovic. Great grandfather to Tyler, Sarah and Lucas Karpenko and Ava Labelle. Son of the late Gaetano and Damiana Calarco. Predeceased by his sisters: Maria (Attillio) Flore, Francesca (Antonio) Sinicropi and his brother Domenico. Dear brother-in-law of the late Frances (1997) (Tony 1995) DeMarco, the late Teresa (2006) (Pietro) Argiro, Anna (Pino) Armaleo, Rose (Sam 1977) Gerace, Maria (Louis 1981) Codispoti. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews in Canada, Italy and the U.S. Antonio was an Italian Army W.W.II Veteran, a member of St. Angela Merici Church and the Labourers Union Local #625. In kindness, memorial donations made to the Alzheimer's Society would be appreciated as your expression of sympathy. The Family would like to extend their heartfelt thanks to two special ladies, Nee and Somia, for their caring compassion and also to the Staff of Malden Park Continuing Care Center for their kindness. Visiting on Friday 2-5 & 7-9 p.m. with parish prayers on Friday 7:30 p.m. Funeral on Saturday, February 28, 2009 at 8:30 a.m. from Janisse Bros-Marcotte Funeral Home, 1139 Ouellette Avenue, Windsor, (519-253-5225) then to St. Angela Merici Church for Mass of Christian Burial on 9:30 a.m. Entombment in Heavenly Rest Cemetery. A tree will be planted in memory of Antonio Calarco in the Janisse Bros-Marcotte Heritage Forest.
