Merlin Eugene DUNCAN

DUNCAN, Merlin Eugene “Porky“ - of Port Dover, peacefully at Norfolk General Hospital on Tuesday, March 3, 2009 in his 76th year. Cherished and loving husband of Ann for almost 57 years. Devoted father and father-in-law of Patti Dawson and Gary, David and Christine and William and Tena. Proud grandfather of 5 grandchildren and 1 great- grandchild. Loving brother of Betty Hacket, Don and Shirley Metcalfe, Bob and Jean McDonald, John and Holly Duncan, Sam and Jackie Kay, Rick and Cheska Duncan, sisters-in-law Alice Duncan, and Cathy Duncan. Predeceased by brothers Ralph, Doug and Don. Merlin was a boilermaker for more than 40 years, retiring from Esso 15 years ago. Since his retirement he has spent his time perfecting his woodworking skills, crafting guitars among many other projects. He was an avid golfer and loved blue grass music. His family will hold dear their memories of a wonderful husband, father and grandfather. A private memorial will be held at a later date.
