McKILLOP, Ruth 1917-2004 - Born Ruth Ellis in Peterborough, Ontario, beloved mother and dearest friend of Louise McKillop and her spouse Kent Babcock. Cherished grandmother of Timothy and Emily Babcock and very special friend of Ralph and Chloe. She was predeceased by her loving husband Hector G. (Mac) McKillop, her sister Lily Astell and her brothers James B Ellis, and William Ellis. Her warmth and wisdom were an inspiration to her nieces and nephews and a blessing to everyone whose lives she touched. We are changed now; not because she left us, but because she touched us with her magic. Friends and family will be received at the Ward Funeral Home, 109 Reynolds Street, Oakville (905)844-3221, from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Wednesday. Service to be held at Knox Presbyterian Church, 89 Dunn Street, Oakville, Thursday afternoon at 1:30 p.m. with a private interment to follow. If so desired, donations to the VON, Oakville Humaine Society or to Knox Presbyterian would be appreciated.
