McKINNEY, Norman Thomas - Passed away suddenly at Royal Victoria Hospital, Barrie on Monday March 2nd, 2009. Norm McKinney, loving husband and best friend of Mary Jo (Melady). Devoted father of Colleen and Carolyn. Brother of Mervin McKinney and Adeline (Jerry) Misener. Special brother in-law of Maureen and Jim Connelly and Jim and Linda Melady. Also survived by his many nieces, nephews and relatives in Ireland. Norm will be fondly remembered for his compassion, kindness, strength and wonderful sense of humour. Friends may call at ADAMS FUNERAL HOME AND CREMATION SERVICES, 445 St. Vincent Street, (just north of Cundles Rd.) Barrie, on Thursday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 pm. Parish prayers will be held in the funeral home at 8:45 pm. Funeral Mass will be held at St. Mary's Catholic Church 65 Amelia Street, Barrie on Friday March 6th, 2009 at 10 o'clock am. Cremation to follow with interment, St. Mary's Catholic Cemetery, Barrie. Memorial donations to the Heart and Stroke Foundation would be appreciated by the family.
