James Victor BALLANTYNE

BALLANTYNE, James Victor (May 6, 1930 - March 3, 2009) - It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of our dear father. Predeceased by his beloved wife Mariyln (September 2008). Fondly remembered by his children and grandchildren, Steve and Chris Ballantyne (Patti and Matt Jones, Jeff Ballantyne and Marissa Barszcz), Craig and Vivienne Ballantyne (Liam and Kiegan) and Judy and Todd Sanders (Megan and Aaron). Survived by his loving mother and father in law Winnie and Cecil Murray as well as sisters Dorothy, Lillian, Margaret and Joyce. Predeceased by his brothers, Ernest and David. Jim was a longtime employee of General Motors, retiring in 1986. He loved being surrounded by family, traveling, visiting with friends and playing cards. He will be missed by all who know him, friends and family alike. The family would like to express their thanks to all the nurses on Merritt Floor at Linhaven for all the care and compassion shown to our father. The family will receive friends at the VINELAND CHAPEL of the TALLMAN FUNERAL HOME, 3277 King St. on Thursday 6 - 8:30pm and then again on Friday beginning at 10am. A Memorial Service will be held in the Chapel at 10:30am. Cremation has taken place. Memorial donations to Parkinson Society Canada would be appreciated by the family.
