Jean Elizabeth GORDON

GILCHRIST, Jean Elizabeth (nee Gordon) - Passed away, peacefully, at her daughter Anita's residence, in Toronto, on Wednesday, March 4th, 2009. Jean Gilchrist, beloved wife of the late John Douglas “Doug“ Gilchrist, in her 88th year. Loving mother of Anita (Rob) Taylor, Paul (Jennifer) Gilchrist, Glenn (Andrea) Gilchrist and Judy (Ray) Taylor. Cherished grandmother of 23 and great grandmother of 3. Jean will be missed by her siblings Florence (the late Don) Frith, Cecil (the late Lillian) Gordon, Lila (the late Doug) McLean and Elsie (Jack) Wall and their families. Will also be missed by her dear friends and cousins Pat and Gil Hardman. Predeceased by her brothers Art and his wife Audrey, George and Leonard. The family would like to extend a sincere thank-you to Dr. L. Alexov and caregivers Margie, Sophia and Lisa for their compassion and support. The family will receive friends at the STECKLEY-GOODERHAM FUNERAL HOME, 30 Worsley Street, Barrie 721-9921 on Friday from 7-9 PM.
