KURYLYSZYN, Wasyl (1923-2009) - At home, on March 4, 2009, at the age of 85, after a life well lived. Beloved husband of his dearest Anna Sudia and steadfast father to his children, Irene Perrault (Roger), Myron Kurylyszyn (Suzanne), Nadia Velthuis (Martin), his grandchildren Domenic and Annie Theoret, Emma and Lucas Velthuis, who gave him so much joy. Also left to mourn him are his family in the Ukraine, his sisters, Maria and Anna, his nieces and nephews, his great nieces and nephews, as well as his friends and cherished 'odnoselchany'. His generosity and good humour to all knew no bounds. He lives on in the hearts of his family and all those who knew him. Throughout his life, he loved and vividly remembered, through his storytelling, his native Piatnychany while proudly embracing Canada, the country that became his home since 1949. Now resting at Alfred Dallaire, 7200 Newman Blvd., LaSalle, Quebec. Visitation Monday, March 9, 2-4:00 PM and 7-9PM; Tuesday, March 10 from 8-10:00 AM, followed by mass at 11:00 AM at Holy Ghost Parish, Point St. Charles.
